Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Behavioral Health Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 15 months of recent or current psychiatric/behavioral health experience in a hospital setting License: Active Iowa or compact multistate license Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) Must-Have: - EPIC EMR experience - Experience with adult and geriatric patient populations - Acceptable de-escalation certificates: MAB, CPI, MOAB, or SAMA (highly preferred) - Work history outlining current or recent psychiatric or behavioral health experience - Skills checklist specific to psychiatric or behavioral health - Professional reference from a charge/supervisor/nurse manager/director/CNO/COO performance evaluation/reference within the last 24 months - Driver's license Description: We are seeking a Registered Nurse specializing in Behavioral Health for our Mental Health Unit. This position involves working with adult and geriatric patients. Candidates should have experience in a psychiatric or behavioral health hospital setting. EPIC EMR experience is required. Candidates must hold an active Iowa license or a compact multistate license. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. Candidates with de-escalation certificates such as MAB, CPI, MOAB, or SAMA are highly preferred. This role requires the ability to work every other weekend. The Registered Nurse will work three 12-hour shifts per week. The nurse will support patients with diverse behavioral health needs.
