About the Position

Our client is seeking a dependable Class A CDL driver for a local flatbed position in Nashville. This temp-to-perm opportunity offers home-daily routes, a consistent Monday through Friday schedule, and training on flatbed operations.

Pay & Schedule Details

Pay: $29.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday through Friday
Start time: 6:30 a.m. to 8:00 a.m.
Hours: 40 hours per week
Employment type: Temp to perm
Home time: Home daily

Job Details

Route type: Local
Freight: Countertops and natural stone slabs
Equipment: Flatbed with automatic transmission
Handling: Trucks are preloaded. Drivers strap freight and assist with unloading by wedging slabs apart; the customer completes the remainder of the unloading process.
Training: Flatbed training provided

Key Responsibilities

Safely operate the assigned equipment.
Secure freight properly using straps.
Assist with unloading stone slabs as required.
Transport freight in accordance with DOT and company safety standards.
Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
Maintain accurate logs and required paperwork.
Communicate effectively with dispatch and operations.
Meet the physical demands of the position.

Minimum Requirements

Valid Class A CDL.
1+ year of recent, relevant, and verifiable driving experience.
Clean Motor Vehicle Record with no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years.
Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements.
Strong backing skills.
Strong communication skills.
Positive attitude and dependable work ethic.
