Details Hospital-based outpatient rehabilitation department Outpatient lymphedema patient population Work alongside OTs/OTAs, PTs/PTAs, SLPs, wound care clinic staff, compression fitters, and lymphedema vendors Patient population ranges from young/middle adults to geriatrics with a mix of diagnoses including lymphedema care Day shift scheduled as 4x10s (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM), with 5x8 schedules also available No weekend or call requirements May float within scope of practice to an acute care inpatient facility as needed Epic EMR experience required Patient ratio of approximately 1:5 Requirements Active GA OT license required (license required if applicable) NBCOT certification required Minimum 1 year of experience required BLS certification required Lymphedema certification preferred Community hospital experience preferred Epic charting system experience required First-time travelers will be considered for this position Additional Information Provide outpatient occupational therapy services including assessment, evaluation, plan of care, reassessment, and discharge planning Perform lymphedema management and splinting, including static, dynamic, and functional splints Support patients with a range of conditions including amputee care, arthritis, orthopedic injuries, hip and knee replacements, soft tissue injuries, and progressive neurological disorders such as Parkinson's disease Provide patient and family education on safety and injury prevention Perform lifting and transfer techniques as part of patient care Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, which must be finalized at time of consideration and cannot be requested during orientation week Holiday coverage required based on number of major holidays falling within the assignment period Full compliance required to start on time American Traveler Job ID P-742613.
