Engineering Analyst III

Location: Houston, TX (Onsite)

Duration: Approximately 12+ Months Contract-possible extension/conversion

Pay Rate: $36-$38/hr on W2

Job Summary:

The Engineering Analyst III serves as a data steward, technical advisor, and operational partner responsible for managing, analyzing, and maintaining asset and location data within IBM Maximo Asset Management. This role supports asset management and maintenance operations by ensuring data integrity, generating actionable insights, and enabling data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage, analyze, and maintain asset and location data within IBM Maximo.
• Gather and prepare data from various sources for upload into Maximo.
• Map source data to Maximo fields and perform quality checks.
• Review drawings and troubleshoot data discrepancies.
• Validate data accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
• Extract, clean, and analyze data from the Maximo Asset Management system.
• Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and metrics related to asset performance and maintenance activities.
• Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, IT, and site teams to identify data needs and resolve data-related issues.
• Assist with troubleshooting Maximo-related data issues.
• Support system upgrades, configuration changes, and data migration initiatives.
• Train users on automated data entry, reporting tools, and data quality best practices.
• Provide recommendations based on data trends and predictive analytics.

Required Skills

• Experience with IBM Maximo or similar Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) systems.
• Strong SQL skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience with data analysis and reporting.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.

Preferred Skills

• Power BI
• Python
• Asset management and maintenance process knowledge
• Data migration and data loading experience

Education and Experience

• Degree in Information Systems, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Business, or a related technical discipline; OR
• 8+ years of equivalent experience.
