Northern Light Acadia Hospital | US:ME:Bangor | Behavioral Health/Social Services | PRN Description Northern Light Acadia Hospital Department: Psychiatric Unit Position is located: Acadia Work Type: PRN Work Schedule: Variable Summary: A Psychiatric Technician I is an integral part of the inter-disciplinary team. The Psychiatric Technician I will draw upon knowledge and skills to respond to current milieu and individualized patient needs. He/she will collaborate with the rest of the team to tailor interventions to meet individualized patient care needs. Responsibilities Perform tasks of a clinical nature within scope of assigned duties and clinical expertise. Adhere to governmental and industry specific regulations/laws. Maintain current knowledge of organization’s policies and procedures. Record, maintain, distribute, and prepare documents or information. Assist with staff education and training as appropriate. Attend and participate in meetings. Provide logistic, financial, emotional support and guidance to patients. Work to meet patient's psychological, emotional, or physical needs. Maintain a safe environment complying with Northern Light Health policies and procedures; report and directly address environmental hazards and violations of patient safety policy and/or protocol when involved or observed. Work with members of the team or department in an effective and efficient manner. Share knowledge and serve as a resource in a team environment. Perform other duties as assigned or required.
