Job Description: We’re seeking an experienced pharmacy technician to join our team at First Choice Primary Care in Macon, GA area on an as needed basis (PRN). The ideal candidate is someone who works well in a team environment, detail-oriented, and willing to assist where necessary. This position offers a competitive pay rate, with potential adjustments based on experience and qualifications, as well as the opportunity for advancement, employee recognition, and team collaboration. 

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

• Assists the pharmacist in providing medication, drug information, and pharmaceutical services to patients, nurses, physicians and other hospital personnel
• Receives and stores incoming deliveries of medication and supplies
• Demonstrates an ability to calculate figures and amounts relating to dosage calculations when filling various prescriptions ranging from the newborn to the elderly populations
• Maintains inventory of supplies in pharmacy and other departments and reorders them accordingly
• Answers the phone and communicates effectively with hospital staff as directed by the pharmacist 
• Prepares and delivers medications to designated locations based on end-user need
• Maintains stock in the automated dispensing cabinet 

Position Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
  
• Current pharmacy technician licensure in the applicable state(s)
• All experience levels considered
