Position Summary The Radiology Technologist will be responsible for taking x-rays as directed by the provider on duty. This position also requires cross training for other back‑office clinical/MA related duties. Broad St Suite 100, Mansfield TX 76063 Midlothian – 2410 FM 663, Midlothian, TX 76065 Wichita Falls – 3210 Midwestern Pkwy #500, Wichita Falls, TX 76308 Hours Monday – Saturday: 7:30 am – 8:00 pm and Sunday: 11:30 am – 8:00 pm. Shift Details Full‑time: 3 shifts per week; PRN: minimum 2 shifts per month. Schedules are made 4–6 weeks in advance. Shifts are arranged by area managers working with our scheduler to ensure clinics have coverage. With advance notice, you can consult the manager to request a day off if needed (e.g., swap a Tuesday shift for a Monday). Full‑time: Must be available to work rotating weekends (including Saturdays and Sundays). 1 on‑call shift per month – must answer a call within 30 minutes between 6:00 am–3:00 pm. A $50 stipend is provided for travel. PRN: Minimum 2 shifts per month. Potential for more shifts based on availability and willingness to pick up shifts at multiple clinics. Pay Range: $17–$27 per hour, depending on experience, breadth of clinical skills, and certification type (NCT, LMRT, RT). We also facilitate employees obtaining DOT and BAT certifications within the first 30 days. Periodic BLS, splinting, and IV classes are offered. Annual reviews and a tier system for levels 1–4 provide a line for advancement. Paid Training Approximately 1 week at Corporate (5208 Tennyson Parkway, Plano, TX, 75024). Monday – Company introduction of policies, procedures, benefits. Tuesday – Clinical introduction day at a clinic. Wednesday/Thursday – Corporate training for DOT/BAT procedures and acquiring certifications. Friday – Additional clinic training. 4–6 training shifts; you will be paired with a trainer and may need to travel to the clinic where the trainer is working. PRN staff are eligible for the 401(k) benefit after 6 months of employment. Required Qualifications Active registration on the Texas Medical Board – acceptable for NCT, LMRT, and RT. Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology. Preferred: 2 years’ experience, including triage, rooming patients, taking vitals, injections, phlebotomy, DOT physicals and drug screens, breath alcohol testing, point‑of‑care testing (flu, strep, mono, COVID swabs), digital imaging. Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) for RTs. Current BLS certification. DOT drug/BAT certification within 30 days of start date – CommunityMed can assist with this. It is the sole responsibility of the radiology technician to maintain all necessary certifications and registrations. Failure to do so may result in termination. Up‑to‑date OSHA immunizations (flu, Tdap, TB, Hep B). Responsibilities Arrive on time (7:30 am Monday–Saturday; 11:30 am Sunday). On arrival and at closure, stock and prepare clinic rooms and complete opening duties binder. Room and triage patients, recording vital signs. Keep supplies ready by stocking rooms, inventorying stock, placing orders, and verifying receipts. Maintain equipment operation by following instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, performing preventive maintenance, and calling for repairs. Perform radiology exams ordered by the provider, keeping radiation doses ALARA. Perform ordered patient treatments within certification and medical competencies. Collect and process lab specimens. Perform occupational medicine testing. Assist and complete all ordered patient procedures. Screen and triage calls; take messages or direct calls to appropriate individuals or departments. Complete patient call‑backs. Educate patients on additional ways the clinic can help them. Perform front‑office duties once cross‑trained. Review and record lab results; call patients with results when necessary. Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading professional publications. Identify facility or clinic issues and submit a help‑desk ticket. Ensure every Tuesday lab supplies are ordered and submitted for approval. Assist with special projects as directed. Adhere to HIPAA and all applicable federal and state mandates. Contact the Radiology Technologist Manager in the event of an emergency call‑in. Contact the Radiology Technologist Manager with any issues, questions, or concerns pertaining to the clinic or shift. Perform other duties as assigned. Comprehensive knowledge of radiographic positioning, technique charts, radiographic techniques, and radiation protection concepts. Principles of aseptic technique. Principles of standard precautions and radiation safety. Understanding of basic waived lab testing procedures (verified by passing lab quizzes). Basic computer and typing skills. Physical/Mental Requirements for Position Read and write English legibly. Communicate appropriately and effectively. Understand and resolve simple to complex problems. DOT certificate (within first 60 days, expires 10 years). Complete immunizations: Proof of Hep B (three series). Proof of Tdap (every 10 years). Proof of MMR. Proof of TB (skin test).
