Sourcing Manager For Non-IT Professional Services

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Sourcing Manager for non-IT professional services for a contract assignment with one of our premier management consulting clients. Candidates must have a background working on non-tech labor/worker related initiatives, have generally good knowledge of industry best practices and terminology (ability to differentiate between staff augmentation and professional services initiatives as a baseline), have good working Excel skills (not advanced, just proficient), and very good presentation and communication skills - capable of interfacing with senior directors and partners as needed.

• Enhance SOW Quality
• Governance and Best Practices
• Support Strategic Alignment

Required Skills:

• University degree and excellent academic record required
• 7+ years in a professional business environment with at least 5 years of relevant technology sourcing experience required
• Ability to lead sourcing events
• Understanding of compliant RFPs
• Supplier negotiations, and SOW reviews
• Deep strategic sourcing knowledge across multiple standard indirect/ non-tech categories that delivers excellent sourcing strategies
• Deep expertise in sourcing steps and processes (examples: conducting spend analysis, clean sheet, total cost of ownership and cost breakdown analysis, sourcing strategy development, product/services requirements and features mapping, RFP excellence, business case development, and outstanding ability to negotiate); knowledge of technology solutions that digitize and automate sourcing processes is highly valued
• Procurement transformation experience is highly valued
• Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills, with the ability to quickly articulate creative, practical solutions
• Strong collaboration, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across functions at all organizational levels
• Excellent ability to apply experience and knowledge to transformational improvements, influence others with knowledge and skills, and demonstrate outstanding change management, project management, and communication skills
• Experience influencing senior leadership in a consensus-based culture, able to drive change, meet deadlines, and inspire confidence among senior leadership
• Excellent prioritization and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and ambiguous situations effectively
• Mastery of Excel and PowerPoint.
