Medicare Audit Coordinator

The employee is responsible for preparation and submission of documentation to various Medicare contractors, while continuing to follow the audit through the levels of appeal for resolution.

Responsibilities:

• Gather and prepare all necessary documentation for audit submission, while continuing to pursue additional documentation and correction requests
• Preparation and submission of audits to various Medicare contractors, while continuing to follow the audit through the levels of appeal for resolution
• Communicate Medicare policy and procedures to field and staff employees
• Adjust A/R in accordance with Medicare policy
• May serve as a backup when other employees are out
• Work assigned Audit Delivery System reports

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required
• General office skills such as proficiency in PC programs and data entry, typing, filing, and basic math are essential
• Ability to learn, research, and apply insurance policy and medical terminology
• Knowledge of telephone etiquette, as well as adequate oral and written communication skills
• Detail-oriented
• Shows effective multitasking skills
• Positive and cooperative attitude in working and communicating with individuals at all levels of the organization
