Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Designer to design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and electromechanical subsystems for professional-grade cordless, pneumatic, and electric power tools.

The ideal candidate will have strong 3D CAD design skills , hands-on knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, and experience with mechanisms, gear systems, drivetrains, housings, and power transmission components . This role will work closely with cross-functional engineering, manufacturing, quality, sourcing, and supplier teams throughout the New Product Development (NPD) lifecycle , from concept through production release.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, mechanisms, housings, and structural components using Creo or other 3D CAD tools .
• Create and maintain 3D models, engineering drawings, BOMs, and product documentation .
• Lead mechanical design activities for drivetrains, gear systems, mechanisms, bearings, housings, and electromechanical assemblies .
• Apply GD&T, tolerance stack-up analysis, DFM, and DFA principles to ensure robust and manufacturable designs.
• Design components using injection-molded plastics, castings, machined parts, and sheet metal manufacturing processes.
• Support prototype builds, product validation, testing, troubleshooting, and production launches .
• Participate in design reviews, root-cause investigations, FMEA, and continuous improvement activities .
• Collaborate with Product Management, Manufacturing, Quality, Sourcing, and suppliers to optimize product performance, cost, reliability, and manufacturability.
• Support engineering change management, CAD revisions, product releases, and product lifecycle activities .
• Work with global engineering teams and suppliers to resolve design and manufacturing issues.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Mechatronics , or a related field.
• 5 10 years of experience in mechanical or electromechanical product design.
• Strong proficiency in Creo, SolidWorks, NX, CATIA , or equivalent 3D CAD software.
• Strong knowledge of GD&T, tolerance stack-up analysis, and engineering drawing standards .
• Experience designing injection-molded plastics, castings, machined components, and sheet metal parts .
• Good understanding of mechanical systems, gears, bearings, motors, mechanisms, and power transmission .
• Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and technical decision-making skills.
