Position: Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse

Shift: Mid 3x12-Hour (15:00 - 15:00); Night 3x12-Hour (03:00 - 03:00)

Job Description

This role is designed for a first-time Labor & Delivery Nurse. The position may involve floating between units as needed, and on-call availability is required in the event of cancellations. Weekend shifts will be required every other weekend.

Essential Responsibilities

Float between Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and High Risk Antepartum as needed.
Provide high-risk obstetrical care, including standing by for high-risk deliveries.
Maintain patient care with expected ratios of 1:1 in critical situations and up to 1:3 in general scenarios.
Utilize and manage various certifications and skills integral to obstetric nursing.

Requirements

Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a similar role.
Certifications: AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, NRP.
Skills:
- Administration of blood & blood products
- Assistance with high-risk deliveries
- Fetal heart rate monitoring
- Management of labor and delivery care
Vehicle: A personal vehicle is required for this position.

Additional Information

Traveling healthcare professionals may be required to float to other units and facilities to address patient care needs. Candidates are expected to commit to working three out of five major holidays per year, including Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Please note that flexibility regarding scheduled shifts and time-off requests is essential, as inflexibility may result in termination of the assignment.
