Travel Radiologic Technologist in Orland Park, IL

Schedule:

• 8-hour shifts: Days (8:30a-5p), Mids (2:30p-11p), or Nights (10:30p-7a)
• Every other weekend rotation
• 4-week schedule cycles, provided 1-2 weeks in advance
• No required on-call or holiday coverage for travelers

Qualifications:

• Valid BLS and ARRT certifications required
• Active IEMA license (no limited licenses accepted)
• General x-ray proficiency - chest, long bones, etc.
• Acute care experience (mobile x-ray only is not sufficient)
• Comfort with portable imaging equipment
• Ability to work independently, especially on overnight shifts
• Fluoroscopy and OR experience are advantageous, but not mandatory

Preferred Skills & Equipment:

• Familiarity with EMR systems (EPIC preferred)
• Experience using GE equipment for general x-ray, ER, and portables
• Knowledge of GE PACS and Shimadzu Fluoro (fluoro not used on nights)

Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostic x-ray examinations on diverse patient populations
• Operate imaging equipment efficiently and safely
• Adapt to various clinical settings within the department, including portable exams
• Ensure image quality and timely reporting in a fast-paced environment
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team with 24/7 support
