Job Description
The Class A CDL Local Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of goods within a 100-mile radius while returning home daily. This role involves independent driving, ensuring compliance with safety standards, maintaining accurate electronic logs, and managing customer interactions effectively.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough load inspections before departure
- Navigate local routes within the surrounding 100-mile area
- Adhere to all safety and compliance regulations
- Manage timely delivery of goods to customers
- Maintain accurate driving and delivery logs using electronic logging devices
- Engage professionally with customers during deliveries
- Effectively manage time to meet delivery schedules
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 year of commercial driving experience
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Strong knowledge of vehicle operation and safety compliance
- Proven ability in route navigation and time management
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Preferred to have a TWIC card or STA card
