HVAC Controls Technician

HVAC Controls TechnicianWe are seeking an experienced HVAC Controls Technician to install, commission, troubleshoot, and service building automation and HVAC control systems for commercial, industrial, and institutional facilities throughout the Gulf Coast region. This field-based role is responsible for ensuring HVAC control systems are installed correctly, operate efficiently, and meet project specifications from startup through final commissioning.The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with DDC controls, building automation systems (BAS), and low-voltage control systems, along with strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently while collaborating with project managers, engineers, programmers, and customers.ResponsibilitiesInstall, commission, and service HVAC controls and building automation systems (BAS).Perform controller startup, point-to-point verification, functional testing, and system commissioning.Troubleshoot electrical, communication, programming, and controls-related issues.Read and interpret control drawings, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, sequences of operation, and project specifications.Install and configure controllers, sensors, actuators, valves, dampers, VFDs, and other field devices.Verify system performance and optimize control sequences during startup and commissioning.Coordinate with project managers, engineers, programmers, subcontractors, and customers throughout project execution.Provide system training and operational support to customers during project turnover.Complete startup reports, service documentation, commissioning records, and project documentation accurately.Ensure all work is performed in accordance with company safety standards and jobsite requirements.
