Apprentice Mold Maker 1

Role description:

The Mold Maker Journeyman repairs Mold equipment using a variety of tools. This role welds, files, grinds, vents, and polishes the Molds. This role involved letter cutting, lathe work, and millwork. This is an apprenticeship position to achieve Mold Maker Journeyman status. Compensation: The starting pay rate for this role is $36.62 per hour. Any future increases are dictated by the Collective Bargaining Agreement. Responsibilities: Weld, grind, file, and polish mold equipment Grind lathe tools and do lathe work as required Run surface grinder when reducing mold equipment Use welding torches and gauges Repair mold equipment using milling machines Inspect mold equipment Minimum skills / qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent Minimum 5 years of experience in a production manufacturing environment Tool and Die experience Must be able to stand for 8 hours Must be able to lift twenty (20) pounds Preferred skills / qualifications: Technical school degree or equivalent Journeyman Card or equivalent experience Stable work history with no gaps in employment Benefits Offered: Medical, prescription, dental and vision plans Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) Life insurance 401(k) retirement plan with company match Paid holidays and vacation Short- and Long-Term Disability (STD/LTD) Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Apprenticeship programs Professional and personal development opportunities through Employee Resource Groups Please note the compensation and benefits information above is accurate as of the date of this posting.
