Job Overview Microbiology Technician/Associate Scientist (Part Time) – Pleasanton, CA. CTG is seeking a part‑time Microbiology Technician/Associate Scientist for a 3‑month assignment working 24 hours per week (8am–5pm on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday). Responsibilities Execute a variety of simple to complex microbiological laboratory experiments to support internal R&D formulation and method development. Support technical capability building for tuberculosis testing of cleaning/disinfecting products. Partner with Senior Microbiologists to develop and validate testing capabilities for the Professional Business Unit. Collaborate with scientists to collect, analyze, and present data to inform project decisions. Maintain the microbiology lab including daily operations, upkeep, and inventory management. Contribute to safe lab practices, adherence to operating principles, and knowledge‑sharing efforts. Work within cross‑functional R&D teams to support technical initiatives and testing protocols. Skills Proficiency in microbiological lab techniques including aseptic technique and dilution procedures. Strong data collection, analysis, and presentation skills. Ability to maintain accurate records and follow detailed protocols. Effective communication and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams. Strong organizational and problem‑solving abilities. Experience 1–3 years of laboratory experience, preferably in microbiology, biotechnology, or a related scientific field. Experience in test method development and validation is a plus. Familiarity with surface sanitization and disinfection testing preferred. Education Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Biology, Biotechnology, or a related scientific discipline. Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group. Compensation & Benefits Expected base salary: $25.70 to $27.54 per hour.
