The role of a Guest Advocate can provide you with the skills and experience of:Communicating and interacting with guests to build a welcoming guest experienceBlending problem solving and decision making to positively impact the guest experience and resolve guest concernsAdapting to different guest interactions and situationsPromoting and engaging around various benefits, offerings, and servicesAs a Guest Advocate, no two days are ever the same, but a typical day will most likely include the following responsibilities:Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standardCreate a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you are completing your daily tasksWhen guests need assistance, engage with guests in a welcoming way, to help solve their specific needsMake the guest aware of current promos, store activities, and eventsBe knowledgeable about the tools, products, and services available in the total store, and specific to your area, to solve issues for the guest and improve their experienceThank guests and let them know we're happy they chose to shop at TargetKnow and speak to the benefits of Target Loyalty programs with every guest and assist with application or sign-up as neededScan and bag all guest items efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with food safety standards and company best practicesWork efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining guest service and accuracyUnderstand and show guests how to use the features and offerings within the Target App including WalletBe familiar with Order Pick-Up, Drive Up and online ordering, and know how to direct the guest to enroll, activate, and use these featuresAttempt every return and follow register prompts; partner with immediate Leaders as needed to help solve for the guest while following Target's policies and proceduresMaintain a clean, clutter-free work area by gathering unpurchased items, baskets, and hangers for removalStock supplies during store open hours while being available for the guestDemonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and complianceWork in a safe manner at all times; comply with all safety policies, best practices, and training; report hazards and correct where possibleSupport guest services such as order pick up (OPU), Drive-up (DU) Orders, DU Returns and maintain a compliance culture while executing those duties, such as compliance with federal, state, and local adult beverage lawsAll other duties based on business needsWhat We Are Looking ForThis may be the right job for you if:You enjoy interacting and helping others – including guests that shop our store and fellow team members you work withYou thrive in a fast-moving, highly active, and physically demanding role, where teamwork, flexibility, and creative problem solving are key to successYou are open to working a flexible work schedule with varying hours, days, or shifts (including nights, weekends, holidays, and other peak shopping times)The good news is that we have some amazing training that will help teach you everything you need to know to be a Guest Advocate.
