Work Environment

This role is predominantly onsite, where you will conduct therapy sessions in the comfort of our patients' homes. Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct assistance to the Physical Therapist during patient evaluations and assessments, ensuring that the process is conducted with kindness and professionalism.
• Implement treatment plans, modifying exercises and interventions as specified by the supervising Physical Therapist, always prioritizing patient needs and comfort.
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and activities, using clear instructions and maintaining a supportive demeanor to boost their confidence and motivation.
• Administer various modalities, including electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and thermal therapies, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the treatment process.
• Educate patients and their families on home exercise programs, employing approachable language that fosters understanding and cooperation.
• Carefully monitor patient progress, documenting outcomes accurately and compassionately. Adjust treatment sessions based on feedback and observed progress.
• Facilitate effective communication with other healthcare professionals involved in patient care, prioritizing a collaborative approach that enhances the overall care experience.
• Maintain thorough and accurate patient records, showing attention to detail that upholds our commitment to quality healthcare.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be working primarily with patients recovering from surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. Qualifications

• A valid state licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• A Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline or an Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assisting program.
• Minimum of one year of relevant clinical experience in an outpatient or home care setting.
