We treat primary psychiatric and substance abuse disorders and constantly strive to meet the needs of our communities with treatment that addresses individualized behavioral health needs. The Mental Health Associate is a vital part of Arbour Hospital's treatment team. Our positions require employees to work every other weekend and there is a competitive shift differential for the evening, night, and weekend shifts.

As a Lead Mental Health Associate, you will:

• Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment
• Provide routine patient care as required in a psychiatric environment
• Document and communicate unusual or erratic changes in client behaviors
• Assist with patient groups and activities
• Work with culturally and generationally diverse populations to meet their individual needs
• Provide trauma informed and age-specific care
• Maintain therapeutic boundaries and utilize crisis intervention techniques

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor's Degree is preferred
• College student who have obtained or are pursuing their degree in behavioral health, psychology, or human services are preferred
• Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
• Impeccable judgment & professionalism
• Ability to maintain composure in a crisis situation
