Operations Supervisor – 2nd Shift

Elk Grove Village, IL | 2nd Shift | $45/hr + Overtime

We're looking for a hands-on Operations Supervisor to become the go-to leader on 2nd shift for a growing precision manufacturing operation. This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys being on the production floor, leading people, solving problems, and driving operational performance. You'll serve as the primary leadership presence during 2nd shift, partnering with Engineering, Quality, and Production to keep operations running safely and efficiently while helping build a high-performing team.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Lead and supervise hourly production employees on 2nd shift.
• Serve as the primary operations leader, making day-to-day decisions to keep production on schedule.
• Drive safety, quality, productivity, and on-time delivery goals.
• Monitor production schedules and remove roadblocks to maximize throughput.
• Coach, mentor, and develop operators while holding the team accountable to performance expectations.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and collaborate closely with Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, and Planning.
• Ensure standard work, quality procedures, and safety practices are consistently followed.
• Lead continuous improvement efforts focused on efficiency, scrap reduction, and productivity.
• Manage staffing, attendance, training, and shift communication to ensure smooth operations.

What We're Looking For:

• Previous leadership experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Experience within machining, CNC, aerospace, precision manufacturing, or metal fabrication is highly preferred.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop employees.
• Comfortable making decisions in a fast-paced production environment with minimal supervision.
