What You’ll Bring

Required:

• BA/BS in biology, natural resource science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 1-2 years of experience.
• Willingness to travel extensively (up to 70%) and work in remote, challenging environments.
• Familiarity with ArcGIS, Garmin and/or Trimble GPS, and digital data collection platforms.
• Strong communication skills and a commitment to safety.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with flexibility and initiative.
• Driver’s License Required: This position requires a valid driver’s license and/or the ability to operate a company vehicle due to the nature of job duties, which include frequent travel to various client locations across a large geographical area.

Preferred:

• Master’s degree in biology or related discipline.
• 3+ years of experience in biological surveys, permitting, or impact assessment.
• Knowledge of Nevada Conservation Credit System, sage‑grouse monitoring, and avian surveys.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform fieldwork and desk‑based analyses for baseline studies and impact assessments.
• Collect, organize, and interpret ecological data using digital tools.
• Prepare technical reports and contribute to permitting documentation.
• Collaborate with internal teams, clients, and regulators to ensure project success.
• Maintain high standards for quality, safety, and compliance.

For the Consulting Senior Associate, Wildlife Biologist position, the anticipated annual base pay is $67,200–$85,420 (USD) . Actual pay will depend on factors such as education, experience, skills, location, performance, and business needs. This role may be eligible for bonus pay (note: casual and fixed‑term/flex force employees are not bonus eligible).
