This remote position enables you to work from the comfort of your home while connecting with clients across Oakland, California, and beyond. Utilizing modern teletherapy platforms, you will conduct virtual sessions tailored to the needs of clients who may have difficulties attending in-person appointments. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients to evaluate their mental health needs, challenges, and goals, employing valid assessment tools and methodologies.
  • Develop and implement tailored treatment plans that encompass a variety of therapeutic interventions to support individual client needs and preferences.
  • Facilitate individual and family therapy sessions using evidence-based practices and therapeutic techniques aimed at fostering growth and resilience.
  • Keep detailed and accurate documentation of client progress, sessions, and treatment plans to uphold ethical standards and ensure continuity of care.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance clinical skills, stay abreast of best practices in mental health care, and contribute to organizational improvements.
  • Collaborate with other mental health professionals to create a cohesive treatment approach, ensuring that client needs are holistically addressed.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work primarily with adults and families dealing with various issues, including anxiety, depression, relationship conflicts, trauma, and substance use disorders. Your role will be to provide supportive, non-judgmental care that fosters trust and enables clients to explore their feelings, behaviors, and communication patterns in a safe space.

Qualifications

  • A valid and active License as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of California.
  • A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Exemplary interpersonal communication skills that allow you to build strong therapeutic relationships with diverse clients.
  • Empathy and understanding towards clients' experiences, showcasing a non-judgmental approach.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to effectively manage caseloads and administrative responsibilities.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in teletherapy and utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems is advantageous.
  • Specialization or training in addiction treatment and evidence-based therapeutic modalities is highly regarded.
  • Prior experience working in community health settings or similar practices.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Annual salary range of USD 80,000 – 105,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
