Journeyman Electrician

Saint Petersburg, FL Electrical / Maintenance Full-Time, Hourly, Non-Exempt $50,000-70,000 /YR The Journeyman Electrician installs, maintains, and repairs electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. This position ensures compliance with local codes, safety regulations, and project specifications, while mentoring junior staff and coordinating with other trades. Reporting Structure Reports To: Electrical Foreman / Site Supervisor Department: Electrical / Maintenance Supervises: Apprentices or helpers as assigned Work Location: Jobsite Key Responsibilities Install, troubleshoot, and repair wiring, panels, lighting, and control systems Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals Test electrical systems to ensure proper operation and code compliance Mentor apprentices or helpers and provide on-site guidance Maintain tools, equipment, and inventory of materials Coordinate with project managers and other trades to ensure workflow efficiency Document work performed and complete inspection reports Education & Experience Requirements Journeyman Electrician license required in Florida Completion of apprenticeship program or equivalent experience Minimum 3–5 years of electrical experience Knowledge of NEC codes and safety standards Physical & Mental Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in confined spaces or at heights Use of PPE including gloves, safety glasses, and hard hats Ability to remain calm and respond appropriately in emergency situations #J-18808-Ljbffr SnapFix365 LLC
