GL Accountant

Insight Global is seeking a General Ledger Accountant for a top client. This candidate will play a key role in the organization's accounting function by supporting month-end close activities, account reconciliations, financial reporting, and general ledger maintenance. The ideal candidate will have strong SAP experience, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Day-to-Day:
Prepare and post journal entries for month-end close
Perform balance sheet and account reconciliations
Analyze GL activity and investigate discrepancies
Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting
Partner with finance and business stakeholders on accounting matters
Assist with internal and external audit requests
Maintain compliance with accounting policies and procedures
Utilize SAP to manage and analyze accounting transactions

Required Skills & Experience

Must-Haves:
3+ years of General Ledger (GL) accounting experience
Hands-on experience with SAP (ECC and/or S/4HANA)
Strong understanding of month-end and year-end close processes
Experience with journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP)
Knowledge of GAAP accounting principles
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
