Base pay range $62.00/hr - $62.00/hr Our client, a leader in the technology industry, is seeking a Silicon Validation Engineer to join their team. As a Silicon Validation Engineer, you will be part of the Hardware Design team supporting custom circuit design initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, effective communication abilities, and a collaborative mindset which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title: Silicon Validation Engineer Location: Austin, TX What's the Job? Contribute to the planning and execution of electrical characterization of a small ASIC containing various IP blocks. Prepare for Silicon arrival and set up bench characterization stations with evaluation boards and lab equipment. Develop software infrastructure to automate control of various pieces of lab equipment remotely. Interpret IP-level characterization plans and develop a series of tests to implement those plans. Perform testing in the lab, gather and format data, and publish for consumption by the IP team and engineering lead. What's Needed? 5+ years’ experience with bench post-silicon validation. 5+ years’ experience with IEEE JTAG & JTAG standards. 5+ years’ experience with Python and TCL scripting languages. Electrical Engineering degree is required to be eligible for this role. Basic knowledge of high-speed digital/mixed signal circuits and lab technician skills like soldering and simple board modification and repair is a plus. What's in it for me?
