About the Role:
Waterford Dentist Pllc is looking for a skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our growing team in Waterford, MI! This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a patient-focused environment where your expertise and care make a real difference in people's lives every single day.
Great part time opportunity working Wednesday & Thursday's new grads welcome to apply!
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine dental cleanings, scaling, and polishing to maintain patient oral health
- Conduct periodontal assessments and document findings in patient charts
- Take and review dental X-rays and present findings to the dentist
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care
- Screen patients for oral diseases, including cancer screenings and gum disease evaluations
- Apply preventive treatments such as fluoride and sealants as needed
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using dental practice management software
Requirements:
- Active Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license in the state of Michigan
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Experience with dental X-rays and digital imaging systems
- Strong knowledge of periodontal therapy and preventive dental care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-first attitude
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented dental office
