Sterile Processing Technician

$1251.20/week - Job Summary: The Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for sterilizing, decontaminating, and assembling surgical instruments to ensure patient safety and maintain hospital standards. This role supports multiple facility locations, including trauma and teaching hospitals, requiring adaptability and compliance with industry certifications. Responsibilities: Perform sterilization, decontamination, and assembly of surgical instruments according to established protocols. Ensure timely processing of instruments for various cases, including neuro, GU, robotics, ENT, ortho, and transplant surgeries. Maintain accurate documentation of sterilization procedures and compliance with safety standards. Float within scope to support different departments and facilities as needed, including ART, Main, or West Campus. Adhere to all infection control practices and regulatory requirements during processing tasks. Complete required labs and training modules within established timelines prior to shift start. Qualifications: Possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in sterilization, decontamination, and assembly/Wrapping of surgical instruments. Hold current CBSPD and/or HSAP certification. Have experience working in Level 1 Trauma Centers or with complex surgical cases. Demonstrate strong attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols. Be able to work night shifts (11:00 PM – 7:30 AM) and accommodate weekend rotations. Maintain compliance with local, state, and hospital licensing and certification requirements.
