Scaler Operator

Heidelberg Materials North America operates over 450 locations across the U.S. and Canada with approximately 9,000 employees.**What You’ll Be Doing*** Operate scaling equipment to safely remove loose or unstable rock in underground areas.* Inspect work areas to identify scaling needs and potential hazards.* Maintain equipment through routine checks and basic servicing.* Follow all underground safety procedures and site-specific protocols.* Collaborate with the production team to support efficient and safe operations.**What We Are Looking For*** Ability to safely operate heavy or specialized equipment in confined spaces.* Strong hazard recognition skills, especially related to underground ground control.* Capacity to follow technical instructions and adapt to changing conditions.* Effective communication and teamwork skills.* Commitment to maintaining a high standard of safety and operational discipline.**Conditions of Employment*** Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check.* Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing.**Work Environment*** Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level.**What We Offer*** $28.76 per hour plus an additional $0.50/hr underground rate* Benefits through the Union for Medical, Dental, Vision and Pension* Union paid vacation, sick leave and holidaysEqual Opportunity Employer - Minority / Female / Veteran / Disabled #J-18808-Ljbffr Heidelberg Materials AG
