Delivery Service Coordinator

Position The Coordinator, Delivery Service Excellence Job Summary Oversee, evaluate, enhance, and provide insights to lead improvements within the Delivery Department. Provide assistance and analytics to supervisors and specific areas such as Drivers, Routing, Safety, and Compliance. Review routes, plan, stop types, service times, classifications, driver performance, and delivery frequency to coordinate optimized distribution plans in a market with 15 or fewer drivers. Position pays $25.00 per hour. Key Information Time Type: Full time Remote: Yes Job Family Group: Market Operations Responsibilities Ensure the market optimizes the distribution of products and resources. Act as liaison between field delivery supervisors, drivers, sales leaders, and routing teams. Communicate proactively with drivers to ensure adherence to daily distribution schedules. Validate information and investigate as needed. Review distribution productivity reporting and provide recommendations for improvement. Suggest efficiency ideas, cost reduction measures, and assist with implementation of distribution changes. Provide analytics and insights to the delivery operations team. Monitor delivery fleet using Omni Tracs, Samsara, Roadnet, and/or other delivery/routing software. Identify and communicate performance management opportunities, including assignment of work and progressive discipline. Review and verify driver DOT qualifications and ensure compliance needs are met. Interpret and communicate policies, protocols, and procedures, including DOT safety requirements and drug screening. Oversee or assist in the timely verification and processing of daily delivery driver invoices, paperwork, returns, and collections. Act as a customer and sales interface to identify opportunities, resolve issues or discrepancies, and create cohesive relationships. Foster and maintain collaborative relationships with sales, warehouse, delivery, and customer service departments to resolve customer or distribution opportunities. Execute scheduled daily communications to Operations and Market Commercial Leadership. Guide proper selection and utilization of company assets in support of the Distribution department and coordinate required repairs with relevant departments. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Qualifications Minimum of 1 year professional experience in a fast‑paced, high‑volume distribution environment. Advanced PC skills using MS Office and other computer programs, including presentation software. Results‑oriented professional with excellent verbal and written communication skills, diplomacy, discretion, and customer‑service skills. Ability to multi‑task, work independently or in a team, pay attention to detail, and meet deadlines. Highly organized and able to think creatively to propose solutions that drive performance improvement. Utilize sound judgment and problem‑solving skills. Experience with DOT, FMCSA, and state regulations related to transportation, vehicle safety, driver hours, and safety is crucial. Preferred Qualifications Experience using Microsoft software platforms and industry platforms such as Omnitracs, Samsara, Roadnet, and SAP. Physical Requirements Work may involve remaining stationary, communicating and operating a computer and telephone, occasional carrying or overhead reaching, lifting up to 15 pounds, occasional standing, walking, and extended sitting at a desk or workstation. Competencies Provide guidance to coordinate work of others; resolve varied non‑routine issues; undertake analysis and investigation to solve problems.
