Rehabilitation Technician (Part-Time) - New Lenox

Overview Rehabilitation Technician position in New Lenox, part‑time (15‑20 hours per week) within a physician‑led care team. Position Highlights Part‑time: 15–20 hours per week. Hours vary between 7:00am–7:00pm; Monday and Wednesday afternoons‑evenings required; Saturdays as needed. Location: New Lenox. Travel: Expected to travel to other sites for coverage needs. Responsibilities Patient care, support, and guidance Execute plans of care under guidance of PT/OT providers. Proper set‑up and adjustment of exercise equipment. Assist with set‑up and delivery of modalities (e.g., electrical stimulation, ultrasound, hot/cold packs). Utilize appropriate educational techniques (demonstration and cueing) to ensure patient understanding of exercises. Monitor patient safety and response to exercise intensity. Discuss patient performance with PT/OT provider. Clinic flow Monitor patient arrivals to department. Start patients on time for scheduled appointments and keep patients apprised of any clinician delays. Maintain cleanliness of clinic, including waiting areas, exam rooms, and all equipment. Order supplies to keep clinic stocked, under direction from Manager. Front‑end tasks Perform necessary front‑end tasks including check‑in, co‑pay/financial responsibility collection, answering phones, and scheduling future appointments. Communicate via chat with PT/OT and Chiropractic referral team regarding patient insurance benefits. Manage clinician schedules (e.g., patient confirmation calls, rescheduling patients as needed). Qualifications CPR certification required (certification offered through Duly Health and Care). High school diploma. Knowledge of common medical terminology and abbreviations. Understanding of therapy modalities, including principles, contraindications, and precautions. Ability to identify proper patient set‑up on each piece of equipment and adjust accordingly. Ability to identify planes of movement and demonstrate proper exercise positioning. Team‑oriented, with attention to detail and follow‑through. Problem‑solving, lateral thinking, and reasoning skills. Strong communication skills. Compensation The base pay range for this role is $15.10–18.00 per hour. Actual pay is determined by factors such as skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. Additional compensation may be available through shift differentials, bonuses, and other incentives.
