Nuclear Medicine Technologist

As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of nuclear medicine procedures. You will care for both inpatients and outpatients as well as those in the emergency room. The typical volume will consist of approximately 13 to 15 patients per day. Skills required include starting and maintaining IVs and experience with PACS. Documenting patient information will be conducted using a specific electronic medical record system. You should be competent in performing various scans and procedures related to nuclear medicine. Additional preferred experience includes brain scans and renal flow studies. Familiarity with Siemens equipment is preferred. Floating to different hospital areas may be required as needed. You will work as part of an interdisciplinary team to provide quality patient care. Compliance with safety protocols for handling radioactive materials is mandatory. Flexibility is important as hours may vary depending on workload. Candidates should be prepared to work two out of three major holidays.
