Starbucks Barista Job Description

We are looking for friendly, reliable, and customer-focused Starbucks Baristas to join our team. Baristas are responsible for creating a welcoming environment, preparing high-quality beverages and food items, maintaining store cleanliness, and delivering excellent customer service with every interaction.

This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, can multitask well, and takes pride in creating a positive experience for customers and team members.

• Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.

• Prepare and serve handcrafted Starbucks beverages and food items according to recipe and quality standards.

• Take customer orders accurately using the POS/register system.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

• Follow food safety, sanitation, and health department standards.

• Restock supplies, ingredients, and merchandise as needed.

• Support daily store operations, including brewing coffee, cleaning equipment, washing dishes, and maintaining the café area.

• Work as part of a team to keep service running smoothly during busy periods.

• Follow all company policies, dress code standards, and customer service expectations.

• Communicate respectfully and professionally with customers, coworkers, and supervisors.

• Previous barista, food service, or customer service experience is helpful but not required.

• Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work scheduled shifts.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while staying calm and focused.

• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

• Ability to stand for long periods of time and perform tasks such as bending, reaching, lifting, and cleaning.

• Must be willing to learn Starbucks beverage standards, recipes, and procedures.

• Must maintain a professional appearance and follow dress code expectations.
