Registered Nurse IR/Special Procedures

$3318.40/week -

Job Summary:

Provides specialized nursing care for patients undergoing interventional radiology and CT procedures, including sedation, assessment, and post-procedure monitoring. Ensures patient safety through effective assessment, procedural support, and communication with the healthcare team.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Perform comprehensive head-to-toe patient assessments, recognizing and responding to potential complications.
  
  
• 
  Administer sedation and monitor patients during invasive and non-invasive procedures.
  
  
• 
  Manage vascular access devices, including IV insertions and PICC/Central line care.
  
  
• 
  Operate and troubleshoot procedural equipment such as IV pumps, ISTAT, and ACT machines.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate closely with radiologists and healthcare team members to coordinate patient care and ensure optimal outcomes.
  
  
• 
  Respond quickly and effectively to critical situations, making decisions that prioritize patient safety.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Hold a valid RN license and recent participating experience in interventional radiology or neuro nursing preferred.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate strong line management skills, including IV insertions and vascular device care.
  
  
• 
  Possess procedural sedation skills and the ability to monitor cardiac rhythms via tele interpretation.
  
  
• 
  Exhibit excellent communication skills to provide clear patient and family education.
  
  
• 
  Be capable of working a rotating schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  
  
• 
  Prior experience with neurovascular interventions and managing sterile procedures is preferred.
