DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES: Under the general Supervision of a School Bus Driver Trainer and Director of Transportation the School Bus Driver Trainee will enter into an in-house training program with the ultimate goal of earning a CDL with an S endorsement.


TYPICAL WORK ACTIVITIES: (Illustrative Only) : • Operates a school bus without students; • Checks the operating condition of the bus before starting on a trip; • Reports any operational defect to immediate supervisor; • Keeps interior and exterior of vehicle clean and neat; • May be required to operate a station wagon or other similar vehicles; • May be required to perform minor maintenance tasks on the vehicle; • Maintains records of mileage, routes, times and incidents; • Assists with preparing and maintaining maps of routes and pick-up points; • Other duties as assigned.


SALARY: $18.50/hour
