Role: The Registered Nurse (RN), Medical Surgical Float Pool, assesses, manages, and coordinates patient care across various Medical Surgical units, ensuring quality and patient-centered service. Role: The Registered Nurse (RN), Medical Surgical Float Pool, assesses, manages, and coordinates patient care across various Medical Surgical units, ensuring quality and patient-centered service. Responsibilities: Conducts comprehensive assessments, develops and evaluates individualized care plans, administers medications, and monitors patient responses. Collaborates with healthcare team members, provides patient and family education, manages pain and restraint needs, and documents all care activities. Recognizes and responds to changes in patient conditions, ensures safety and infection control, and maintains effective communication during handoffs and discharge planning. Demonstrates accountability by adhering to policies, participating in quality improvement, and supporting a positive work environment. Provides age-appropriate care, fosters service excellence, and models professional behavior. Qualifications & Skills: Valid RN license in applicable states, BLS certification, strong assessment, communication, and teamwork skills, flexibility, and commitment to safety and quality standards. Physical ability to perform nursing duties, including patient transfers and prolonged standing.
