Credit Solutions Advisor - San Juan Capistrano

Job Overview Responsible for originating loans for clients with residential mortgage needs and serving as the primary lending specialist within the financial center. The role delivers First Mortgage and HELOC products in person or by telephone, and also offers Auto Loans, Credit Cards, and core banking products. Key Responsibilities Provides specialized and personalized service, advising clients on borrowing and banking options at each stage of their life plan. Builds and deepens relationships with new and existing clients, leveraging the bank’s full capabilities. Analyzes client financial needs and recommends suitable financial services. Presents home‑lending product solutions, submits mortgage applications and assists clients with documentation, keeping them informed throughout the loan process via calls, email and online messaging. Conducts outreach and pipeline management activities, following up consistently to meet client needs. Responds to client requests and refers them to appropriate internal partners. Partners with financial center leaders, performance managers and market leaders to coach associates on delivering exceptional client experience. Ensures compliance with SAFE Act requirements, maintains registration and complies with background checks. Required Qualifications Minimum of 2 years mortgage origination experience or equivalent demonstrating client assessment, leadership, trust building, and consultative sales. Proven record in delivering tailored financial solutions. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and professional demeanor in person and phone. Critical thinker able to analyze financial and credit data and advise clients on product options. Customer‑service oriented, managing end‑to‑end client experience and problem resolution. Ability to handle ambiguity and adapt to changing circumstances. Strong work ethic, driven and performance‑oriented. Flexible to work weekends or extended hours as needed. Team player with ability to translate knowledge into productive internal and external relationships. Willingness to learn and use technology. Commitment to professional ethics and compliance with federal and state policies. Desired Qualifications Experience working in a financial center meeting or exceeding goals. Proficiency in analyzing complex financial data and offering alternatives. Knowledge of banking products and services. Strong time‑management skills with ability to organize, prioritize and multitask. Experience in loan origination in a retail environment with knowledge of Mortgage Products (Conventional, Jumbo, HELOC, Government), structuring, processing, underwriting and closing procedures. Familiarity with FHA and HUD guidelines and other lending products (Credit Card, Vehicle Loans). Strong computer skills, MS Office proficiency and laptop technology use. Additional Information Minimum educational requirement: High School Diploma / GED / Secondary School. Shift: 1st shift; Hours per week: 40. Pay range: $25.00 – $29.61 per hour, with incentive potential. Eligible for a formulaic incentive plan and benefits.
