Key Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care on a 41-bed Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit serving patients of all ages, including post-operative orthopedic and total joint populations
Maintain a 1:4 patient ratio while applying critical thinking skills and decisive judgment with minimal supervision
Document and manage patient care using the

Meditech EHR

system
Fulfill weekend rotation requirements (every other weekend / as needed) and respond to call requirements as needed
Float as needed, which may include travel within a 25-mile radius of the facility
Required Qualifications

Active RN licensure valid in the state of Virginia (or compact eligibility)
Required certifications prior to start: ACLS, BLS, Handle with Care, and NIH Stroke Scale
Minimum 1–2 years of RN experience in Medical Surgical / Telemetry
Ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate clinical action
Must consent to random drug screening and complete a Criminal Questionnaire/Consent Form prior to and during assignment
Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible as a travel candidate
Preferred Experience / Skills

Experience caring for post-operative orthopedic patients, including total joint procedures
Familiarity with Meditech EHR platform
Experience working in an accredited acute-care hospital environment
