We are seeking a fellowship-trained Breast Radiologist for a locum tenens opportunity in Georgetown, South Carolina. This position offers an ASAP start and an ongoing assignment until a permanent physician is hired.

The ideal candidate will have specialized training in breast imaging, experience interpreting screening and diagnostic studies, and proficiency in image-guided breast localization procedures. An active South Carolina medical license and MQSA qualifications are required.

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours
• Call Requirements: No call
• Locations: Waccamaw Imaging Center and Georgetown Medical Center
• Pay Rate: To be discussed
• Onboarding Compensation: $500 flat rate for completion of hospital modules and EPIC personalization

Responsibilities:

• Interpret screening and diagnostic breast imaging studies.
• Read breast MRI examinations.
• Perform and interpret breast imaging studies using digital breast tomosynthesis.
• Perform image-guided breast procedures, including ultrasound-guided, MRI-guided, and stereotactic procedures, as well as localization procedures.
• Utilize Sectra PACS and PowerScribe dictation systems.
• Collaborate with clinical teams to support accurate diagnoses and high-quality patient care.

Requirements:

• MD or DO degree required.
• Fellowship training in Breast Imaging required.
• MQSA qualifications required.
• Active South Carolina medical license in hand.
• Board-certified or board-eligible within five years, as applicable.
• Experience in breast imaging, including screening, diagnostic mammography, and breast MRI.
• Ability to complete hospital onboarding and EPIC personalization.

Available Coverage Dates: Coverage is needed on select dates beginning in November 2026, with additional opportunities in December 2026 and 2027.

• Week of November 1, 2026 – Waccamaw Imaging Center
• November 23, 24, 25, and 27, 2026 – Waccamaw Imaging Center
• November 30, 2026 – Waccamaw Imaging Center
• Week of December 7, 2026
• Week of December 21, 2026
• Additional dates in 2027

• Physicians will work at only one location per day.
• No on-call responsibilities.
