This role emphasizes hands-on treatment with a rehab focus in a facility that supports comprehensive inpatient therapy services. Expect to work with lift equipment and a large rehab gym, document in Cerner, and provide patient-centered care across a variety of rehab needs.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA.
• Active North Carolina Physical Therapy license required to start the assignment.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
• Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience preferred, with hospital or inpatient rehab experience preferred.
• Ability to evaluate and treat hospitalized patients with a strong rehabilitation mindset; treatment-focused practice expected.
• Experience using Cerner or similar electronic health record systems preferred.
• Ability to work with lift equipment and in a large rehab gym environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a critical access or swing-bed hospital environment.
• Experience providing therapy in simulated home environments (functional kitchen and laundry setups) and outdoor therapy sessions.

Assignment Details

• Shift Hours: 08:00–16:30.
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, set schedule.
• Floating: May float to an on-site long-term care center in the same building as needed.
• Documentation system: Cerner.

Impacting Patient Care

Provide direct, treatment-focused physical therapy for inpatient rehab and swing-bed patients. Work closely with interdisciplinary teams and support patient mobility, safety, and functional independence. Contribute to positive patient experience initiatives and deliver care using available lift equipment and a fully equipped rehab gym. Documentation is completed in Cerner.
