Join the Alside team where you can be AMazing as we shape our future together.We are seeking a driven, self-starting Business Development Manager with a hunter mentality to identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities in the building remodel and new construction markets in the region. This role is focused entirely on new customer acquisition -- to get you started, you will be given a small book of business. Success in this role means building your own pipeline from the ground up and converting prospects into long-term customers.Key Responsibilities:Proactively identify and target new repair, remodel and new construction business opportunities by developing and executing strategies for prospecting and cold outreach (calls, emails, networking, events)Build and manage a robust sales pipeline from lead generation through closeConduct virtual or in-person presentations, site visits, and product demonstrationsCollaborate with internal teams (Sales Director/Sales Manager, Branch Manager, and local supply center teams) to ensure smooth onboarding of new customersMeet or exceed sales targetsMaintain accurate and up-to-date CRM records and activity reportsStay informed and report market trends, competitor activity, and industry developmentsQualifications:Successful sales history with a minimum of 2 years of outside sales experienceProven track record of generating new business and consistently meeting/exceeding quotasExperience within the building materials industry is highly preferredBachelor's degree preferred but not requiredSelf-motivated, disciplined, highly organized, customer-focusedProven experience in new business selling and upsellingTechnical Acumen - High comfort level with daily computer use, data entry, and navigating various technical environments (Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and practical experience with Salesforce)When you join Alside, you are part of a leading exterior building products distribution business serving residential and commercial remodeling and new construction markets. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate. Start with a guaranteed base plus uncapped commissions. After 24 months, the plan shifts to a draw model that recognizes and rewards high performers and self-starters.
