Key Responsibilities of the RN - ICU - Intensive Care Unit

• Manage ventilators and titrate medications
• Utilize art lines and central lines effectively
• Care for complex trauma patients, including head, chest, and orthopedic trauma
• Handle stroke and thrombectomy patients, perform IV tPA, embolization, and aneurysm coiling
• Provide care to patients with burns and those requiring CRRT, EVDs, ICP monitoring
• Accurately interpret EKG rhythms and intervene when necessary

Requirements of the RN - ICU - Intensive Care Unit

• Active IL RN license or proof of application initiation
• Must have ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Experience in vent management, art lines, and central lines
• Preferred experience with CRRT and EVD/ICP systems
