Phlebotomist - Part Time

LabCorp is a global leader in diagnostic testing and drug development solutions. The Phlebotomist – Part Time position is located in Dearborn, Michigan. Job Responsibilities Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc. Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner Process billing information and collect payments as necessary Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis Maintain patient and specimen information logs Provide superior customer service to all patients Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED or equivalent 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience Preferred Qualifications 2 years or more of phlebotomy experience in an outpatient lab setting Additional Job Standards Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency (if work experience is not available) Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to work independently or in a team environment Comfortable working under minimal supervision Reliable transportation Flexibility to work overtime as needed Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test Benefits Employees scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life, STD/LTD, 401(k), paid time off (PTO) or flexible time off (FTO), tuition reimbursement, and an employee stock purchase plan.
