Direct Care Staff / Mental Health

Overview Rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about providing direct services to clients and who enjoys the flexibility of working in a variety of settings. The successful candidate will work Monday through Friday from 3:00pm to 11:30pm. This full-time position will be based at our housing site in Collinsville, IL. Responsibilities Provide services in the location most conducive to the consumer’s level of change, including the client’s apartment or other community location. Facilitate services identified in the IM-CANS that are consumer-driven and that meet program requirements. Provide initial triage in crisis situations. Provide case management, community support, and medication training and monitoring. Conduct individual and group therapy to promote education and skill building to enhance independence. Promote the recovery model of treatment including trauma-informed care, hope, respect, empowerment, health/wellness, and spirituality/connectedness. Qualifications Must be at least 21 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent plus 6 months’ peer or social service experience. Demonstrated skills in human services and in services to adults. Demonstrated ability to work within organizational structure; to accept supervision; and to work constructively with consumers, treatment resources, and the community. Basic computer skills including MS Word and an electronic medical record. Valid driver’s license, private auto insurance, and be insurable. The anticipated starting pay for new hires for this position is between $19.00 - $20.00 an hour.
