Environmental Projects Construction Inspector
DGS Office of External Affairs
The Environmental Projects Construction Inspector with the Department of Environmental Protection inspects construction, environmental, and mine reclamation projects to ensure compliance with permits, plans, and regulations. The role is based in Cambria County, Pennsylvania and involves site inspections, contract compliance review, material acceptance decisions, erosion control oversight, documentation, and complaint investigations across multiple Western Pennsylvania counties. This is a full-time civil service position offering telework opportunities. Key qualifications: Two years of construction inspection experience on heavy construction projects (dams, flood control, mine reclamation, treatment plants, hazardous waste, airports, highways, utilities) Associate Degree in Building Construction Technology, Civil Engineering Technology, Survey Technology, Construction Engineering Technology, or closely related field Valid Pennsylvania driver's license Pennsylvania residency requirement Ability to perform essential job functions and travel to project sites across 13 Western PA counties #J-18808-Ljbffr DGS Office of External Affairs
