Starting at $15.00/hour (based on experience)

Southside Animal Hospital is seeking a dedicated Veterinary Assistant to join our close-knit team. We are a well-established, privately owned small animal clinic focused on providing high-quality, compassionate care to pets and their families. If you're dependable, detail-oriented, and passionate about animals, we’d love to hear from you!

What You’ll Do :

• Assist veterinarians and licensed technicians with exams, diagnostics, and surgical procedures
• Handle and restrain animals safely and compassionately
• Clean and prepare exam rooms, surgical instruments, and kennels
• Provide attentive care to hospitalized and post-op patients
• Communicate with clients in a friendly, professional manner
• Maintain accurate medical records and assist with filling prescriptions
• Support general clinic upkeep and inventory

✅ What We’re Looking For :

• Previous experience in a veterinary clinic preferred, but not required – we’re happy to train the right person!
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
• Team player with excellent communication and reliability
• Must be able to lift 40+ lbs and assist with animal handling
