Quick Facts:

• Location: Eureka, CA
• Start Date: 09/22/2026
• Duration: Ongoing / December coverage possible, with January start for some candidates
• Shift Times: Multiple options, including 3p-12a, 8a-4p, 1p-11p, 9p-6a, 11p-8a
• Hours/Week: Guaranteed 8 hours per day, typically 12 hours shifts, with OT opportunities after 12 hours
• Employment Type: Locum/Temporary
• Licenses/Certs: Active CA license, DEA, BC/BE within 3-5 years (ABEM/ABEOM preferred)
• Experience: Proven emergency medicine practice, references required

Hourly Pay Rate: $1.00 per hour (Note: Internal reference rate for bidding; actual pay rate varies and will be confirmed upon engagement)


What You’ll Do:

• Provide emergency care in a hospital inpatient setting
• Assess, diagnose, and treat acute medical conditions
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for patient care plans
• Manage patient stabilization and support transfer/discharge procedures
• Document clinical findings and interventions accurately
• Follow protocols and maintain high standards of patient safety

What You Need:

• Active California medical license and DEA registration
• Board certification or eligibility in Emergency Medicine (ABEM/ABEOM preferred)
• Prior ER experience with adult and pediatric patients
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to present 2-3 professional references
