Location 1202 Highway 60, Socorro, NM 87801-3914 Compensation Pay Range: Minimum Offer $31.50 - Maximum Offer $48.12 per hour Job Type PRN (0.00 FTE). Exempt: No. Work Shift: 12 Hour Nights (United States of America). Summary Performs computerized tomographic radiographs according to established practices and procedures. Takes call. Responsibilities Schedules, performs and formats all types of C.T. scans Verifies patient name and procedure to be performed before scanning Verifies exam order by reviewing patient chart or verbal order with outpatient Educates patient prior to scanning procedure, explaining the procedure and answering questions Provides written documentation of procedures performed and patient history pertaining to scan performed Can perform patient follow-up by phone when required (e.g., biopsy patients, abscess drainage) Assists physician during special procedures; sets up and maintains sterile trays and equipment Anticipates any equipment and/or supply needs during procedures Maintains established department policies, procedures, objectives and quality assurance, safety Assists in maintaining upkeep of department and equipment including ordering and stocking supplies when necessary Attends section staff meetings, pertinent inservices, workshops and/or seminars for continuing education to enhance professional growth and development Eligible to take C.T. Registry within 2 years from date of hire; recommended to become C.T. Registered within 5 years from date of hire Qualifications Associate Degree required Current BLS required Certified CT Technologist NM Computed Tomography License (NMCT) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists – Computed Tomography certification (ARRT(CT)) OR CT Technologist in Training/Provisional Status NM Computed Tomography Provisional License (NMPCT) with ARRT (R) Must obtain ARRT(CT) and NMCT licensure within 2 years of obtaining the NMPCT Individuals applying for a New Mexico Provisional CT License must have met the requirements for licensure in at least one New Mexico-recognized medical imaging or radiation therapy discipline (e.g., Radiography, Nuclear Medicine, Radiation Therapy, or Registered Radiologist Assistant) and be pursuing an approved CT certification pathway EEO Statement AA/EOE/VET/DISABLED. #J-18808-Ljbffr
