Accounting Clerk - On Site - Dickory

This position prepares and posts general ledger journal entries for non-patient related collections, oversees distribution of daily change funds, issues collection receipts, and manages petty cash accounting. Education Required: High school diploma or equivalent. Work Experience Required: None. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications. Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals throughout the patient care process. Strong knowledge of accounts payable processing. Ability to work a flexible work schedule (e.g. more than eight hours a day). Job Duties Reconciles all transactions. Processes all invoices received. Verifies invoice quantity and amount. Researches and resolves all discrepancies related to vendor invoices, credits and statements. Initiates quality improvements. Participates in and supports special projects. Performs other related duties as required. Physical and Environmental Demands Medium Work—Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
