Maintenance and Reliability Manager

The Maintenance, Repair & Operations Manager is responsible for supporting and executing Ardent Mills’ MRO strategy to drive lower costs, improved equipment uptime, and consistent data integrity across all sites. This role develops best-in-class MRO programs, supports the creation and management of asset and category BOMs, and ensures standardization of parts, processes, and critical spares. The MRO Manager provides technical support to plant teams, partners with procurement and finance to manage spend and data accuracy and leads change management efforts that strengthen MRO practices and reliability performance. You will inspire people to achieve things they never thought possible.To succeed, you must be able to:Deliver results in first-time situations by inspiring others and earning trust every day.Serve others with understanding, respect, and care.Operate with simplicity, clarity, and transparency.Drive and adapt to change.Organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks while meeting or exceeding deadlines.Learn and apply new technologies and share your knowledge with others.Above all, you will be expected to carry out all activities with reliability, integrity, compliance, and in a safe, environmentally responsible, and efficient manner.Your ResponsibilitiesManage maintenance supervisors and the maintenance team by setting the vision, strategy, and goals for the department.Manage contractors and technical service technicians.Oversee the repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment used in manufacturing operations.Eliminate causes of equipment failure and maximize equipment life and reliability.Develop and manage the maintenance budget, long-term capital projects, and corresponding budgets.Oversee inspections of operating machines and equipment to ensure conformance with operational standards.Review production, quality control, and maintenance reports and statistics to plan and adjust maintenance activities.Manage the accuracy and maintenance of MRO inventory.Maintain and prioritize the planned maintenance schedule in coordination with other departments.Establish criteria for assessing the quality and safety of work performed by team members and contractors.Ensure completion of maintenance work through reliability reports, site inspections, and collaboration with operations teams and vendors.Investigate the condition of buildings, equipment, and grounds and recommend improvements to meet operational needs.Evaluate maintenance personnel skills and support the development of training programs.Manage work order backlog.Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, quality specifications, safety standards, and sanitation practices.Essential Skills and ExperienceBachelor's degree with 5-8 years of relevant experience, or High School Diploma/GED with 9-12 years of relevant experience, including 2-3 years of supervisory experience.Subject matter expertise in maintenance processes, maintenance activities, and maintenance management systems.Demonstrated experience managing capital projects.Demonstrated experience developing and executing budgets.Experience with predictive and preventive maintenance technologies.Understanding of the operating context of site assets and process systems.Demonstrated knowledge of maintenance safety practices.Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).Demonstrated electrical troubleshooting experience.Experience using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).Experience managing capital expenditures and projects.Preferred QualificationsKnowledge of food safety requirements and HACCP principles.Physical Requirements and Working Conditions(With or Without Reasonable Accommodation)Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, protective footwear, hearing protection, and, at times, a respirator.Ability to work a rotating schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.Ability to work in a continuous manufacturing process that operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.Ability to work in: Hot and cold temperatures, including inclement weather. Our salary ranges are broad, and individual salary will be market competitive based on a candidate’s unique set of skills and level of experience. The starting range for this position is $102,600.00 - $136,896.10, with additional earning potential possible commensurate with experience. Additionally, we believe that our team members are the reason for our success and all team members are incentive eligible with a target based on contribution, company performance, and individual results achieved.
