NURSING TECHNICIAN

Schedule Full time – Day shift (7:00am – 7:30pm) Unit Summary The ICU Step-Down unit at Northwest Hospital has 11 beds. Staff provide high-quality, compassionate, evidence-based critical care to patients and families. Staff help clear obstacles related to patient care, are outgoing and positive, and use strong organizational and leadership skills to assess patient status, implement clinical nursing interventions to modify symptoms, and develop and implement patient care plans to enhance outcomes. Job Summary Assists in providing a variety of patient care duties under the supervision of an RN and in cooperation with the health care team, maintaining standards of nursing care for all patients and implementing policies and procedures of the unit, hospital, and nursing department. Qualifications Entry-level knowledge and basic employment skills High School diploma or GED equivalent 1–3 years of experience Basic computer skills; Synquest Medical terminology; Hoyer lift usage Communication devices; Specialty beds; Automatic B/P cuff GNA/CNA licensure CPR card from AHA Benefits Competitive compensation, including overtime, shift differentials, premium pay, and bonuses where applicable; comprehensive health plans; free parking and wellness programs.
